40 Days Rowing the Atlantic Ocean

It’s not that I don’t value a half marathon it’s that it doesn’t quite push me to the edge! Now if your going to talk to me about rowing 3000 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean completely unsupported! I am completely YES YES YES! Started from La Gomera in the Canary Islands and rowed for 40 days with team Atlantic Discovery to English Harbour of the Caribbean Island of Antigua!

News Stories: The Independent Newspaper , Silva , Nagico, The Daily Herald News Caribbean, South West Londoner, Hertfordshire Life Magazine and Daily Express.

The expedition raised £30,000 split between two charities BMSTC and Multiple Sclerosis Society.

If you were told that you have 5 years left on this planet…

What would you fill your life up with? What would your goals be?

Something changed when I was asked this question and I took it literally… I didn’t want to live the “ordinary life” anymore… I wanted to pursue the extraordinary.

Since this question I have treated every day like it’s my last and have rowed the Atlantic Ocean with team Atlantic Discovery, swam the English Channel, climbed to the summit of the highest peak in Africa (Mt.Kilimanjaro), awarded two world records for the longest continual row on indoor rowing machine (solo 83 hours and in tandem 48 hours).

Why did I do all this??

Rowing the Atlantic Ocean as a team was a profound journey that taught me invaluable lessons about the power of unity and the pursuit of excellence. In the face of immense challenges, we discovered the true potential of Uniting Teams for Excellence through Common Goals.

As we battled treacherous waves and relentless storms, conflict became a natural part of our journey. Yet, it was through conflict mastery that we learned to embrace differing perspectives, harnessing them to propel us forward. Each challenge became an opportunity for strategic thinking, as we navigated the ever-changing tides with precision and determination.

Amidst the isolation of the vast ocean, we found solace in our mutual appreciation for one another. The smallest gestures of support and encouragement forged bonds that ran deep, fostering a profound sense of camaraderie. Open and honest communication became our guiding compass, enabling us to synchronize our efforts and work as one cohesive unit.

Trust became the bedrock upon which our success was built. We relied on each other's strengths, knowing that our collective resilience and unwavering commitment would carry us through even the most daunting of moments. And through it all, our connection grew stronger, as we shared in the triumphs and setbacks, embracing the journey as a testament to the power of human spirit.

Rowing the Atlantic Ocean taught me that true excellence emerges when a team is united by a shared purpose, fueled by a relentless pursuit of common goals. It showed me that conflict, when embraced and navigated with finesse, becomes a catalyst for growth and innovation. It revealed that strategic thinking, appreciation, communication, trust, and connection are not mere buzzwords but essential pillars for achieving greatness.

Now, armed with these transformative insights, I am driven to inspire and empower teams to reach their fullest potential. Through my experiences on the Atlantic, I offer a unique perspective on the immense power that lies within teams when they come together with a shared vision and unwavering determination.

He never lets people get away with relying on excuses for reasons they haven’t followed their dreams. He loves nature and you can see his passion for getting people more active in all his talks.
