The 12-Hour Swim to Save Lives
One man. One pool. One mission: to break a world record and save lives through water safety.
Coming soon, Isaac will attempt to break the World Record for the Farthest Distance Swum in 12 Hours in a 50m pool, a monumental feat of human endurance, grit, and purpose. But this isn’t just about breaking records.
It’s a life-saving mission! Raising awareness and vital funds for the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS), whose lifesaving education, drowning prevention, and water safety programmes help prevent tragedy every year. Isaac knows of someone who lost their life to drowning so this cause means a lot to him.
This is the start of a bigger movement, a series of endurance swim challenges, from pools to open waters, all carrying a deeper message: We must protect our planetary health and human wellbeing for survival.
As someone who has broken several endurance world records and has rowed oceans, led purpose-driven expeditions, and raised over £1,000,000 for good causes, this is a return to the fundamentals: the solo swim, the quiet battle, the simple message, you can go farther than you think.
The Drowning Crisis
Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death among children in the UK and around the world. In 2023, over 500 people lost their lives to drowning in UK waters alone. This swim will support The Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK). The RLSS saves lives through education, training, and public awareness, from schools to communities, from swimmers to parents. Water offers calm and therapy, but without safety knowledge, it can also be fatal. Many mental health-related emergencies occur near water. Raising awareness on both fronts saves lives before they’re at risk.
This swim isn’t just about how far I can go; it’s about how many lives we can save together.
Drowning is preventable. With your support, we can fund vital safety programmes, inspire resilience, and help build a safer future for everyone who enters the water.
What Isaac is looking for:
This record is the first in a sequence of challenges, both indoor and outdoor, that will culminate in some of the most ambitious endurance eco-adventures ever attempted. This is your opportunity to be a partner from the start. You are welcome to join Isaac in a number of ways, Isaac even watching the event live and swimming alongside Isaac during the challenge. Isaac is looking to work with organisations that care about: sustainability, mental health, wellbeing, performance and resilience.
